SummaryBallard Spahr LLP has a terrific opportunity for a talented Proposal Coordinator to join the Ballard Spahr marketing and business development team. The primary responsibility is the preparation and delivery or pitches/proposals/RFPs. This role reports to the Proposal Manager and interacts with attorneys, directors of practice management, Legal Pricing/Project Management, Risk Management, Finance/Accounting, Human Resources, Information Systems, legal administrative assistants, and partner firms to coordinate and complete projects.

This individual will be an important part of our Marketing and Business Development team. The incumbent must be incredibly service-minded with a penchant for processes and problem solving, and have the ability to work independently and maintain a focus on priorities while meeting strict deadlines. A collaborative, consultative, inclusive working style is paramount. Similarly, relationships and the ability to quickly grasp the subtler elements of the firm’s culture are essential. A strong sense of urgency and eye for detail are required.
A bachelor’s degree, preferably with course work in marketing, business, communications and/or writing with 3+ years' experience in a law firm or other professional services firm plus a strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and a basic understanding of systems in general are required. Previous proposal writing experience strongly preferred. Diverse candidates are encouraged to apply.
