POSITION: Internal Communications Specialist

Burns & Levinson LLP, a mid-sized, Boston-based law firm, is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic and fast-paced Marketing Department.
The Internal Communications Specialist will be responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive and coordinated internal communication strategy that supports the Firm’s mission and integrates internal and external news. A primary responsibility of the role will be to drive the mid-to-final stages launching the Firm’s new intranet platform. Once live, the intranet will maintain a sound site navigation and a proper balance of content and tools, as facilitated by the Internal Communications Specialist.
The Internal Communications Specialist will consult across departments and work closely with the Marketing Department, Human Resources Department, and Firm Leadership, to coordinate and execute all internal requests for firm-wide communication. Using different channels such as Intranet communications, memos, newsletters, and digital signage, this position will plan, edit, and write all internal content. All communication should be effectively tailored and branded to target different audiences. The Internal Communications Specialist will supply relevant internal news to the Marketing Department to support the external communications strategy.
Required Skills and Experience :
Successful candidates will exhibit exceptionally strong written and verbal communication with the ability to synthesize information for an array of audiences. Candidates will be attentive listeners with a gift for brand storytelling. Comfortable with a wide variety of technologies and ability to learn quickly. Prior experience with CMS platforms is a plus. This individual will be self-directed and possess excellent interpersonal and time management skills, and display strong attention to detail. 5+ years’ experience in marketing at a law firm or professional services experience is a plus. Bachelor’s degree required.
