POSITION:  Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications

LOCATION: Northern New Jersey

The Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications will be responsible for strategic oversight and implementation of the firm’s marketing and communications efforts across multiple U.S. offices. The position is focused on execution of all related activities, including supervision and coordination of firm marketing events (national and local), directories submissions, advertising and communications initiatives. The role will be based in our Northern New Jersey office.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of the firm’s Chief Client Officer (CCO). The Senior Manager will serve a critical role in the development and execution of all elements of strategic marketing plans and initiatives across the entire platform of legal services.

Responsibilities – Marketing Oversight and Execution

  • Reporting to the CCO, the Senior Manager will serve as lead contact for all Marketing and Communications efforts and provide supervision to local Liaisons.
  • Oversee and support all firm and office marketing events, including workshops and seminars, networking receptions and internal meetings.
  • Work directly with CCO on annual planning and management.
  • Oversee the development of all Client Alerts and Newsletters, as well as press releases, PR opportunities, surveys, directories, nominations and other listings.
  • Maintain active lists for: Firm Advertising, Marketing Activities (events, MCLE programs, etc.), Industry and Trade Associations and Charitable Contributions, and assists with mailing lists and event registrations as needed.
  • Initial employment period will include substantial CRM database move, possibly requiring significant overtime for the initial six months of employment supporting conversion from previous solution, as well as attorney/secretary training and team training.
  • With CCO and team, populate ERM through compiling and maintaining matter experience data, including case studies, biographies and descriptions.

Other duties as required.

Responsibilities - Internal and External Communications

  • Create internal-facing curated weekly news item for distribution to all firm attorneys.
  • Manage all firm social media accounts with support of PR agency representatives and execute firm-wide Social Media Plan.
  • Work alongside firm Newsletter’s Editorial Partners to create and distribute robust quarterly publication.
  • Review and upload all blog posts to firm website and draft social media posts.
  • Proofread all Client Alerts, Newsletter articles and press releases prior to distribution.
  • Coordinate all directory submissions for rankings and awards with Marketing team.
  • Facilitate bi-annual review and update of attorney biographies.
  • Review RFPs and pitch materials, as needed, to proof for grammatical accuracy and ensure compliance with firm writing style.
